International Circularity Conference 2027: APozA Members Invited to Participate

The International Circularity Conference (ICC 2027) will be held at Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia, from 7–13 February 2027.

Bringing together industry leaders, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners from around the world, ICC 2027 will explore practical innovations and strategies supporting the transition to circular, zero-waste, and low-carbon industrial, agricultural and community systems. The program will include keynote presentations, panel discussions, specialised workshops, technical tours, site visits and networking events.

The conference has strong relevance for members of the Australasian Pozzolan Association, with key themes including:

• Circular construction and infrastructure
• Geopolymer concrete produced from industrial waste
• Reuse of demolition materials
• Circular mining and energy-transition materials
• Industrial by-product recovery and reuse
• Low-carbon materials and resource-efficient infrastructure

Murdoch University’s work demonstrates the potential for supplementary cementitious materials and geopolymer technologies to transform industrial by-products into valuable construction resources. Current research includes the use of fly ash, lithium refinery by-products, bauxite residue, incinerator bottom ash and recycled construction materials in new low-carbon concrete and infrastructure applications.

APozA members are encouraged to become actively involved by attending the conference, submitting research for presentation, exploring sponsorship opportunities and contributing their industry knowledge to the broader circularity discussion.

Abstract submissions open on 1 August 2026 and close on 1 November 2026. Early-bird registration is available until 30 November 2026, with standard registration closing on 1 February 2027. Registration options are available for both in-person and online attendance.
