APozA member, Boral has appointed Mr. Vik Bansal as their new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director as a strategic decision to transition the company into its next phase.

Mr Bansal joins Boral with over 30 years of experience, working in senior leadership positions within high-achieving ASX-listed companies. Prior to his appointment, Mr Bansal was the CEO and Managing Director of Cleanaway waste management from 2015-2021. During his tenure, Cleanaway market cap increased five times, earnings more than doubled, and the company consistently delivered in the top quartile of TSR.

In the past year, Mr Bansal has been leading steel manufacturer Infrabuild, but says he misses the pressure and accountability of leading a large publicly listed company. 

Chairman Ryan Stokes said Mr Bansal had the right set of expertise and leadership qualities for value creation explaining, “We are confident that his operational and performance-focused leadership will enable Boral and its people to realise the full and exciting potential of the company,” he said. 

Mr Bansal replaces Zlatko Todorcevski who had been in the position since July 2020, and provided immense contributions to the successful realignment of the portfolio back in Australia. 

Mr Bansal emphasises his enthusiasm for the position saying, “Boral is an iconic and compelling business with great assets and a well-respected and motivated workforce...I am excited to be part of Boral’s next phase of creating value for all its stakeholders through a culture of safety, and focus on service, sustainability and simplification," he said.
